The reason for this is that the old .flg file has a pre-defined 256-color palette for all the logos in the game. Dragging with the forces GGS to adapt your new image to that existing palette. If you drag with the left button, GGS will create an entirely new palette based on your new image, which will then be applied to all other logos, corrupting their colors.
