With the moon high, the crafter returned to their table and constructed a sturdy door. But this door wasn't for a house; it was a sacrifice. Selling the door to the shopkeeper summoned the , whose arrival stained the sky with the Ritual Background .
The creation of such a trap functions as a ritual of preparation, akin to carving a jack-o'-lantern. In the weeks leading up to Halloween, players engage in a specific set of behaviors: they gather redstone dust like dried herbs, they smelt iron for tripwires, and they meticulously plan their layouts. This is a solitary, meditative process. The "lovely craft" aspect comes into play through the aestheticization of violence. A trap that is merely a hole in the ground is crude; a "lovely" trap is disguised as a prize, a gift, or a sanctuary. The builder adorns the kill zone with colorful wool, shimmering gold blocks, or intricate signage designed to lure the unsuspecting. This mirrors the tradition of setting out a bowl of candy—a tempting offer that hides a latent danger (or in the case of the trap, a sudden, dramatic end to one’s progress).
Completing the ritual rewards players with a permanent account-bound cosmetic, often a glowing pumpkin-head skin or a purple trail effect. Additionally, the crushed trap leaves behind a rare, non-craftable item known as the "Spooky Core," which can be used to power custom Redstone machinery with a unique purple spark texture. Lina had never missed the ritual. She was small as a sparrow and clever with hands that mended more than cloth. Her mother’s parting had left her with an old latchbox, a handful of brass screws, and the whisper that some things kept the dark at bay if you only coaxed them awake properly. The box smelled of cedar and the sea; inside, wrapped in oilcloth, lay a thin piston of burnished iron—too pretty to be mere hardware, too heavy to be a trinket. Etched on its side was a single word in a script that caught the light like a promise: LOVELY.
As the mob steps into the center, the repeaters will fire, causing the sticky pistons to push the obsidian blocks forward, sealing the mob in a 1x1 vault.
: Align your trap with a Halloween theme. Consider haunted houses, creepy creatures, or supernatural elements as inspiration.
Place your trapped chest inside the trap area. Fill it with "bait" – shiny items like gold ingots, diamonds, or enchanted gear. The more tempting the loot, the more effective the trap will be. This is your offering to the Halloween gods of trickery.
The holding cell must hold the mob safely without killing it prematurely.

Placed at the four cardinal corners of the trap.
To prevent the trapped mob from destroying the surrounding structure.
If you kill the mob with a sword or trap it manually using regular building blocks, the achievement will fail to register. The game requires a precise sequence: detection, containment via pistons, and a finalized ritual circle. Required Materials and Tools
