Though its purpose is to enable better sales process, PTC Velocity’s bad UI and poor content organization were not tailored to fit the needs of our daily users, the sales reps and partners reps.

We knew the website refresh needed to start from home. The old homepage did not serve much of its purpose. Randomly placed announcement banners and unclear buttons on top made the homepage to look confusing.

To learn more about our users’ experience with the current site, we conducted user interviews and usability testing. Based on the feedbacks we collected, we were able to identify 3 major user behavior using this platform.

Searchers
know what they are looking for, use the search bar to look for the contents.

Navigators
know what type of content to look for. So they start navigating through pages to find them, often getting frustrated for getting lost in the navigation.

Receivers
are not comfortable using the system for its confusing UI. They want contents to be delivered  directly to them.

User Stories

“When I go into Velocity, I care more about information design than pretty looking UI. As long as I can find contents as quickly as possible, the better.”

Many users struggled navigating through pages to find the right content. We needed to find the best way to make their discovery experience easy and seamless.

The crowning jewel of the game, featuring a massive, symphonic track that brought together complex, multi-element monsters. Innovative Gameplay Mechanics

Rather than just using Gold and Food to upgrade the game, TLL required players to harvest unique resources scattered around their Islands. These resources were then used to craft specific monsters.

The Lost Landscape is a free, non-profit fangame built from the ground up for fans who crave a fresh experience within the MSM universe. While it retains the core gameplay loop of breeding, feeding, and listening to musical monsters, it explores alternate dimensions, forgotten biomes, and lore that doesn’t exist in the mainline series. my singing monsters the lost landscape

: Originally started as a fan game using official assets, it transitioned into a redesign phase to replace copyrighted monsters with entirely original designs.

A visually stunning underground environment where monsters utilize glass, quartz, and chime-like sounds to create a brilliant, high-tempo melody. The crowning jewel of the game, featuring a

The gameplay mechanics in The Lost Landscape are similar to those found on other islands in the My Singing Monsters universe. Players can collect and breed monsters, build and customize their own habitats, and explore the island to uncover its secrets. However, The Lost Landscape also introduces some new features and twists that set it apart from other islands.

This news was met with a deeply divided reaction within the fanbase. The promise of a return sparked a new debate—would a My Singing Monsters game without any official monsters still feel like the same experience fans had been so excited about? The Lost Landscape is a free, non-profit fangame

For all its creativity, The Lost Landscapes was built on a foundation of existing intellectual property. On , the project's servers abruptly went down. The reason soon became clear: Big Blue Bubble (BBB), the official developer of My Singing Monsters , had intervened.

There is never a perfect design! We had a lot of positive feedbacks from our users with the redesign. Users were satisfied with cleaner UI and improved navigational experience.

However, even the new design could not satisfy our users 100%. As they continued using the tool, they faced with new sets of problems. I learned how important it is to never get fully satisfied with the design decisions and the continue the effort of iteration, which should not be an option but a habitual routine.
